LIVE STATION Exhibition Weston Art Gallery, Cincinnati, OH 12.2009-2.2010 |



Phase 1 of this project, an installation of the station in a city/gallery environment, becomes a place for contemplation and review of archived research - interviews with scientists, source books, field recordings and footage of natural geographic settings in Alaska. There is also a listening station of sound phenomenon in the cabin and displayed is the opportunity for the viewer to learn more about the functioning of independent and alternative means of living.

Phase 2 will involve the insertion of the station into nature, and will present the opportunity to not only live autonomously, but also to experiment with innovative solutions to achieve a more responsible, efficient and peaceful existence through the balanced utilization of past knowledge and materials, combined with modern technologies, designed in a discursive way.
